New Initiatives in Autism Education and Research 

This grant provided support for creation of a neurobiology course at Brandeis University focused primarily on autism spectrum disorders and support for a symposium to celebrate the opening of the Behavioral Genomics Center and 10-year anniversary of the Volen Center.  The symposium explored aspects of autism dealing with cognitive systems, neuroscience, and molecular issues. The grant also provided support for visiting scholars with autism expertise who participated in research collaborations, teaching, and symposia.
