Medicare and Adults with Autism

With support from the NLM Family Foundation, the Insurance Resource Center for Autism and Behavioral Health conducted a short-term research project to understand where autism fits in the current framework of Medicare, identify gaps, and formulate recommendations for mitigating barriers, to ensure that individuals obtaining coverage under Medicare maintain access to care. As a result of this research effort, a white paper on this important research topic was published in 2023.
