Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund

The NLM Family Foundation has made a grant to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund which focuses on developing COVID-19 emergency relief measures to protect its patients, staff, and community from this pandemic.

BIDMC provides support to its medical staff who are fighting the pandemic on the front lines to enable them to focus on delivering extraordinary patient care. BIDMC researchers are leading efforts to develop a COVID-19 vaccine as rapidly as possible, which may be critical to ending the pandemic. The medical center’s world-class researchers are working tirelessly in pursuit of tangible solutions to address the global pandemic. Their efforts include developing novel therapies and conducting research to better understand the virus and the immune system response.

Given the NLM Family Foundation’s focus on helping individuals with autism, it is our hope that a portion of this grant will be directed to initiatives that will ensure that individuals with autism and their families have access to care and resources that will help them navigate this crisis.
